Vacuum filter is a kind of equipment which realizes solid-liquid separation with vacuum negative pressure as driving force. Under the action of vacuum negative pressure (0.04-0.07mpa), the liquid in the suspension is pumped out through the filter medium (filter cloth), while the solid particles are intercepted by the medium, so as to realize the separation of liquid and solid. In the structure, the filter section is arranged along the horizontal length direction, which can continuously complete the filtration, washing, suction, filter cloth regeneration and other operations. The rubber belt filter has the advantages of high filtration efficiency, large production capacity, good washing effect, low moisture content of filter cake, flexible operation and low maintenance cost. The equipment can be widely used in solid-liquid separation in metallurgy, mining, chemical industry, paper making, food, pharmaceutical, environmental protection and other fields, especially in gypsum dehydration (FGD) in flue gas desulfurization. Vacuum filter is a solid-liquid separation machine which forms vacuum filtration by negative pressure. It is the driving force of filtration by forming negative pressure at the filtrate outlet.
Working principle of vacuum filter:
Under the action of vacuum negative pressure (0.04-0.07mpa), the liquid in the suspension is pumped out through the filter medium (filter cloth), while the solid particles are intercepted by the medium, so as to realize the separation of liquid and solid. The vacuum filter is based on the surface filtration mechanism. When the liquid in the suspension flows to the filter medium, the solid particles larger than or similar to the pore size of the filter medium will first form an initial layer on the surface of the medium by bridging. The pore size of the filter medium is larger than its pore channel, so smaller particles are retained. Therefore, the continuously deposited solid particles are gradually in the initial stage A filter cake with a certain thickness is formed on the initial sedimentary layer.
Features of vacuum filter:
1. High degree of automation: blanking → filtration → washing → deslagging → filter cloth cleaning are all continuous automation, improving production efficiency, reducing operation cost, reducing labor intensity of workers and improving working environment.
2. Fast filtration speed: the material passes through the sedimentation area, the large particles are at the bottom, the small particles are at the top, the filter cake structure is reasonable, the filtrate permeability resistance is small, and the thin-layer rapid filtration can be carried out
3. Convenient filtration process: the thickness of filter cake, washing water volume, counter current washing stage, vacuum degree, filter cloth speed can be adjusted arbitrarily to achieve good filtration effect.
4. The washing effect is good; it can realize multi-level advection or countercurrent washing, washing is even and thorough, mother liquor and washing liquor can be separately collected and reused according to process needs.
